Early Summer 2025 - SilberSalz 35 50D (ECN2)

This film took SOOOO long to develop, 2 weeks and 2 days to be precise, and it cost extra to have it processed, being ECN2 it needed special chemicals and honestly I can't say it was worth the extra effort, there are some beautiful, quality photos here but not a massive difference to usual colour negative film so probably won't be using ECN2 films again. For those interested it is SilberSalz 35 50D and promises an ultra cinematic aesthetic, I would agree it has delivered.

One of the main reasons I love film photography is the anticipation of getting the scans back, it really is a wonderful dopamine hit - so yeah 2 weeks and 2 days wait was a killer for me. I suppose it could just be the development company I used taking their sweet time.

Anyway, the shots feature a couple of things I was up to at the end of May and beginning of June. Firstly a day trip to Kew Gardens and wander round with my friend Max, it was a cool place but very expensive to get in, there were lots of cute ducklings and huge fish that came to greet you at the surface of the water (the photos came out blurred because you know, they move and stuff..)

Secondly I booked myself a couple of days with Juniper in a yurt on an organic farm called Bore Place, it was a really special spot! Had a nice bonfire and Juni even was treated to a steak. The only problem being my yurt ended up having 3 stag beetles in it that were buzzing around during the night and giving me heart palpitations. I was brave and managed to remove one in a cup but what with that and the temperature rising, causing the yurt to turn into a sauna, I cut my losses and left early, but definitely an interesting place to visit near Sevenoaks.

Since then the heat has only got worse here in South London with the past week or two being particularly horrendous above 30 celsius, give me light showers and a balmy 18 and I'm happy!
